YoWindow 4.0

YoWindow is a Windows utility that gives you access to detailed weather forecasts. The program features a user-friendly interface, is packed with a powerful search tool, supports multiple types of measuring units, and displays nice animations reflecting the current weather in the selected location.

From the tool's Options panel you can switch to the preferred measuring units, change the location, select the type of information you want to be displayed on the main window of the program, and so much more. Furthermore, the program displays an animation on its main screen that accurately reflects the weather status at the selected location. You can choose between various animation templates and set them as a screensaver if needed.

The program also displays the current time at the indicated location, provides you with a built-in calendar, and enables you to share the offered weather info directly from its interface to your Facebook or Twitter account.

Sadly, the tool didn't work that well during my testing. To be more exact, it occasionally freezed, especially when switching between animations or altering program settings.

Another aspect you need to take into consideration is the fact that you can find cheaper solutions for keeping track of weather forecasts. For instance, you can choose between various online services that not only provide you with accurate information, but they are very simple to handle and don't cost you a dime.
